Burnout Recovery Little College >

Burnout Recovery Little College

Burnout among doctors is generally high all over the world. Depending on each country and specialty, the incidence can vary, but still it is starting to become a serious problem. Strategies are used, but are different from country to country and sometimes from hospital to hospital in the same country. Solutions have to come from a higher level, they depend on the system, financial resources and local and national management. With this in mind, the idea of a “Little College” for recovery came into my mind. Doctors need to “recover” from all day routine and work. In any specialty work is emotionally intense and consuming. In order to function for our patients, we need to feel free from our own personal problems and actually from the ones the system generates each day. This “Little College” should offer the possibility to learn how to better cope with every day stress using CARe methodology, understanding and applying empowerment, personal profile, environmental profile, vitamin profile and also relaxation techniques, as well as peer to peer support.
